Hey all,
Some of you know me from RWL and FAF. I signed up here ages ago but never really got into it for some reason, and people keep telling me I need to come here and play for a bit, so here I am. I signed up for strategy.
I noticed a few things I didn't recognize off the bat. Labour for example, and water.
So a few questions:
when are resets?
how important is labour?
are docks the only thing you can do with water, and if so, is there ever a reason not to max out on docks?
...more later once I get turns to use? |

Sign up for classic battle, that's our main server here.
Strategy got a quite special code. It was our mainserver once, but due to a lot of codechanges, the code got complicated and less popular. And the Classic Battle code was brought back.
Anyway, I shall try to answer your questions:
1. The resets are in the end of each month. New set starts 12 in the middle of the day CET the 1st every month.
2. Labour is very important if you farm, indy or cash. Normal labour is 100%. Max labour is 125%. If you labour is low, the production is also low. If you got 30% labour, you will get only 30% of the production of what you should have had. If you have 125%, you will get 25% boost in production. Wizard and manageneration is not dependent of labour.
3. Storing is a problem here. You need to have some protection, else indies will pillage your empire your empire and get away with a certain percent of your food or cash.
4. Water -> With 0 water, aid can't be sent to you because the ships won't find the searoute to the empire. Docks make fish, if you have a race with a good racial bonus on fish, and a good amount of water, some docks will get you a good amount of food. _________________

Thanks, I signed up for Classic as well.
When you say storing is a prblem, do you mean that it is hard to do, or that people do it too much and it's lame? And when you say storing, do you mean hording resources on your account, or storing net on the market? |

You cannot store that much on the pm so he means storing resources on you. Pillage burns structures, kills troops and steals some food and gold. You do not get to steal all the resources you pillage, only a certain percentage.
On classic, the only way to steal gold is using mages and there is no way to steal food. |

| Is this like FAF where only troops give significant net? Or does food work too, provided you can defend it? |

| Food can give a decent amount of net. I'm not sure of the exact amount it counts for however. |

Do turns always get frozen at the end of a set? |
